about our pastor

Pastor Bruce was born and raised on a farm in central Illinois and attended Illinois State University in Normal, IL, graduating with a Mass Communication / Broadcasting degree. Before becoming a pastor, he worked for over a decade in radio broadcasting. Bruce graduated with a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Upon graduation, he worked several years on staff at the seminary and then for 6 years as pastor of a church in northwest Illinois. He became pastor of New Song Church in December 2019. Bruce is married to Courtney and they have three children (Maggie, Caroline, and Charlie). Besides spending time with the family, Bruce enjoys music, reading, movies, and watching baseball. He is passionate about studying, preaching, and teaching God’s Word each week and ministering to God’s people.
